Conduction is when solids are heated up and the particles start vibrating and when they collide with each other they pass on kinetic energy.

Conduction doesn’t take place in a vacuum because there are no particles that vibrate also in a a vacuum theres nothing for the sound waves to move through so conduction doesn’t take place in a vacuum.

Conduction doesn’t take place in solids, liquids and gases. However, the more densely packed atoms or molecules of a solid can conduct more heat because there are many more collisions taking place.

Conduction is most effective in solids because the particles are more compact so they can vibrate and collide.

Particle movement is when the particles are vibrating and when they are moving faster the item is hotter and when they are moving slowly the item isn’t as hot.
